Adding a User Profile

In order to create a new user profile using the iPermits Customer Portal, you must be registered with the City of Houston. If you are not currently registered with the City, contact the permit section or the trade section. For example, plumbers contact the plumbing section. You will be assigned a license number, license type and a web portal pin number. Once you have successfully registered with the City, you can create your user profile using the iPermits Customer Portal.

NOTE: Examples of licensed users are: Electrical Masters, Plumbing Masters, HVAC Licensees, and Advanced Payment Account Holders.

If you do not currently have a user profile within the iPermits Customer Portal, you must create one in order to use the Customer Portal. You must have a valid license number and web portal pin number to create a user profile. Once you have created your profile, you may update your contact and company information at any time.

All trade contractors must register their license with the appropriate City of Houston Inspection section. Your license and insurance information must be current.

Before you create a user profile:

• Fields marked with "*" are required.
• The license provided must be valid and registered with the appropriate City of Houston Inspection Group.
• The iPermits Acknowledgement Letter is a prerequisite and must be completed and submitted to the City prior to user registration.
